Abstract

This study aims to map the development of Islamic social finance studies and their relationship to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a bibliometric approach. This study analyzed 33 scientific articles published between 2019 and 2025, spread across 23 international journals indexed by Scopus. The analysis was conducted using bibliometric software. The results show an increasing trend in the number of publications with an annual growth rate of 14.04%. The average number of authors per document is 3.45, with an international collaboration rate of 48.48%, indicating that this topic is attracting attention from the global academic community. The average age of documents is 1.97 years, indicating that this issue is still relatively new but developing rapidly. The average citation per article is recorded at 13.36. Keyword mapping reveals the dominance of terms such as Islamic social finance, Islamic finance, sustainable development goals, SDGs, waqf, and zakat. Furthermore, the keyword network visualization reveals three main clusters: Islamic philanthropy and social development, the Islamic financial system within a global framework, and governance and institutional performance. This research demonstrates that Islamic social finance studies have a multidisciplinary approach and a strategic position in supporting the sustainable development agenda.
